NOTES: Rare 30 x 20 POSTER for this Emile Littler Pantomime, stone litho printed by Eden Press, Birmingham. Charlie Cairoli, born in France, came to Britain in 1938 and with his bowler hat and red nose became one of Britain’s best-known clowns. He was the star of Blackpool’s Tower Circus for nearly forty years, and was internationally known in the classic tradition of clowning slapstick. Exact date of this POSTER is not known but it is circa 1950.
