TITLE: LATIN QUARTER
FORMAT: 30 x 20
VENUE: LONDON CASINO, London.
NOTES: Very rare 30 x 20 POSTER for Latin Quarter, a review show by Robert Nesbitt featuring a mixture of song, dance and nude reviews similar to the Windmill's. It ran for three years at the Casino from 1949 to 1951. The Casino was opened after the war by Emile Littler and was converted into a cinema in 1954. It eventually became The Prince Edward Theatre. The 1949 review ran from March 1949. This POSTER is silk screen printed. It was probably produced in very small quantities for display in the theatre itself or the immediate locality.
PROVENANCE: The Emile Littler/Patrick Selby collection.
CONDITION: Grade B-. Folded. Some creasing, chipping and edge tears (two of which are quite long extending from the right edge). Some fold wear and two small tears or holes (one in the H of ‘Laughter) and one in the N of ‘Latin’.
